ATCC Karyotype: modal chromosome number = 67; range = 59 to 71The stemline modal chromosome number is 67 occurring at 36%, and polyploidy at 0.6%. Fourteen marker chromosomes were common to these cells: 3q+, 11q+, i(13q), t(9q21q), i(17q), i(21q) and 8 others of unknown origin. Additional markers: der(5)t(5;7)(q31;p11) and 1p were found that were specific to a minor subpopulation. Microchromosomes (larger than double minutes) and double minutes (DM) were also found in a small population of cells. Normal N13 was absent; and N21 was found only in the minor subpopulation. One, or occasionally two, Y chromosomes were present in each cell.
DSMZ Karyotype: human hypotriploid karyotype with 17% polyploidy - 62(47-64)<3n>XX, -Y, -4, -5, -10, -13, -13, -15, -18, -19, -21, -21, +4mar, der(1)t(1;?)(p21;?), der(3)t(3;?)(p22;?), del(6)(q23), der(9)t(9;?)(p12;?), der(11)t(5;11)(q14;p12), ?der(12)t(12;?)(q14;?), i(13q), i(14q), der(17)t(17;?)(p11/12;?), del(22)(q13) - carries large submetacentric marker with q arm resembling tandem dup(7) - 9p12 is a recurrent breakpoint in bladder carcinoma
Heterogeneity Indications and Other Notes: double minutes (DM) were also found in a small population of cells
